For me being a Trustee of centred is a valuable opportunity to be at the heart of the creative, transformative work carried out by the amazing people here. Representation and being a part of something that is weaved throughout the fabric and at the root enables me to be both engaged and meticulous in the thinking and supportive in the role. I come from a range of positions, which includes 'reflexive and enquiry', 'resistance and rage', 'visual and creative'. It is from these positions and others not mentioned here, that I carry out my role. I also bring extensive practical skills, experience and knowledge from several sectors, as well as the social identity that my differences intersect. The combination of these factors and the importance of my own openness to constant learning make up my personal and strategic contribution to the richness that is centred.
I bring to centred all of who I am. I bring my learning of decades of experience as an activist, a worker, a feminist, an artist, a diverse human trying to be the change I wish to see in the world. I offer an unwavering commitment to equality and/in diversity and to communicating and listening to learn. I have gained a breadth of voluntary and community sector management experience across many different communities and sectors. Over the last two decades my work has focused on social inclusion, user influence in governance, community building and communication with people with communication impairments. I currently support disabled people through personal budgets and personalization.
